There are 3 things I find inspiring about this video:

1.) It is a return to “old school” special FX, which is a breath of fresh air in a heavily computer-FX-dependant society.

2.) It combines physics/imagination/mathematics/engineering/design/music and overall fun into a 4 minute video.

3.) It took over 60 takes to get it right + A LOT of trial and error.

Success isn’t something that happens in 1 shot.
You have to work at it.

Enjoy the video and remember to watch it in 1080HD!

Bobo the photo monkey has been quite busy lately. Here are some of his latest shots!

All of this for a 3-banana-a-day salary.

You can spend large amounts of money on advertising to give your company an image of professionalism and quality service.

However, all of that goes out the window when someone in your company does something like THIS to give potential clients a different image about what you can offer.

Lesson of the day:

Make sure that staff share the same company values as you do.

Professionalism is not a value that only applies between business hours.       It’s a lifestyle.

This presentation by Fabian Crabus is simple and straightforward.

3 things to remember about PowerPoint:

1.) It should not be used to dump loads of information on people. Documents do that just fine.

2.) More vivid photographs (not clipart), and less text.

3.) Don’t read what is on the screen to the audience. People read faster than you can talk. You are redundant.

fireworks

Lighting a fuse takes very little time and it produces a beautiful and creative result.

Here are 3 steps to lighting a fuse before starting your next project:

1.) Brainstorm – Take a pen and some paper and write down words associated with your design/product/business. Draw sketches of random objects while listening to your favorite music to get the brain juice flowing. Try to look at your project from all angles and point’s-of-view.

2.) Read – Go to your local bookstore and grab some books. Scan books about art, photography, architecture, graffiti, sewing, tattoos.  Make sure to bring your pen and paper to capture any ideas before they get away.

3.) Explore – Go to a store you’ve never been to before. Eat something different. Read articles on things you know absolutely nothing about. Expand your boundaries.

As is true with fireworks, you will occasionally light a fuse, wait a while, only to discover that you have a dud. But don’t let that discourage you from trying again until you find that creative spark.

Light a fuse.

We recently made the switch from iWeb (Apple) to Wordpress (wordpress.org)

While iWeb is an easy-to-use application, we needed something more versatile. In other words, Wordpress.

Wordpress allows you the freedom to make website changes from any computer, anywhere. Simply log in, post, log out.

Our website is not 100% complete yet. The monkeys are making finishing touches, and hope to have everything in working order very soon.

Thanks for your patience and please feel free to leave a comment or e-mail us with any projects you need help with.
